Card Care Soaking Bins for Sports Card Restoration
Three Soak Bins for Collectible Card Care

Using the Soak Bins

Suggestions:

1. Soak the Card:

  • Place the card in the soak bin.

  • Pour Kurt’s Card Care solution over the card, fully covering it. You may need to gently press the edges down to help them absorb the solution.

2. Cover and Soak:

  • Place the lid on the bin to protect the card and keep it flat. This allows the card to float undisturbed in the solution. Soak for about 30 minutes.

3. Remove the Card:

  • After soaking, use a penny sleeve to gently remove the card from the inclined top of the bin, minimizing damage.

  • You should notice a yellow tint in the solution, indicating dirt and grime has been removed.

4. Clean Up:

  • Dispose of the used solution and wipe down the bin to remove moisture, preparing it for the next card.

There’s no fixed method for using these products, as each card is unique and reacts differently during the drying process. I can offer only general guidelines on how to dry your card. As your skills grow, you’ll discover various techniques for drying your cards. But the final outcome will always remain the same!

The Forge Humidor for Collectible Card Care

Using The Forge
and Standard Soak Bin Add-on/Standalone

Suggestions:

1. Initial Humidity Check:

(This step does not apply to the Add-on/Standalone)

  • Start by noting the humidity level when placing the cards in the “The Forge”.  The humidity will rise and fall as the card dries.  As the humidity begins to fall the card is now drying

2. Place the cards in the “The Forge” or Standard Soak Bin

    Add-on or Standalone.

  • Start by using the top shelf and work your way down.  The cards on top will finish first.  Space 4 cards evenly per tray.

3. Timeframe:

  • I will typically place the cards in “The Forge” or Add-on/Standalone for approximately 3-4 hours.  I noticed when the card starts to warp again I will remove the card.

4. Final Stage:

  • I will place the card between two acrylic plates to finish the drying process.  I typically would check the card after an hour or so. This stage will help return the card to its natural form and stay flat. The drying process is now complete!
